Odisha youngsters achieved notable success in the AITA U-14 Talent Series Tennis Tournament with Kabir Hans winning the boys singles title and Ameek Kiran Batth finishing girls` singles runner-up at Ordnance Club in Kolkata today.
Bhubaneswar lad Kabir beat his statemate Mahesh Mohapatra in the final 6-3, 6-2. This was third AITA singles title and fourth overall for Kabir, who is a product of S S Tennis Academy. Batth, also from Bhubaneswar, went down to Ishika Gupta (WB) 2-6, 4-6.
The youngsters also won tickets to watch the third leg of International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) to be held at New Delhi from December 10 to 12.
