State u-16 cricket tourney from May 21

This year`s Inter-District under-16 cricket tournament, featuring 35 teams, will be conducted by Orissa Cricket Association at Cuttack from May 21 to June 1. Out of the 35 teams, 31 have been placed in eight groups for preliminary league matches. The eight group winners will join last year`s semifinalists Cuttack-A, Cuttack-B, Bhubaneswar-A and Bhubaneswar-B in the super league and the top four finishers of the super league will advance to the semifinals. The final is slated to be played on June 1. Groupings: Group-A: Rayagada, Keonjhar, Khurda, Dhenkanal. Group-B: Kalahandi, Kendrapara, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj. Group-C: Rourkela, Sonepur, Nayagarh, Malkangiri. Group-D: Balasore, Nabarangpur, Deogarh, Boudh. Group-E: Koraput, Bargarh, Puri, Jharsuguda. Group-F: Nuapada, Angul, Ganjam, Paradip.
