Deba Ray College and Rama Devi Women’s College emerged champions in the 1st BFI-IMG Reliance Bhubaneswar College Basketball League (ICBL) which concluded here at Unit-1 Basketball Complex today.
In the hard-fought boys’ final, Deba Ray College edged out Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) 82-80 in extra time after play in the stipulated time match ended in a tie (70-70). However, Subham Samal of KIIT, who top scored in the final with 40 points, was adjudged as player of the tournament. Rama Devi Women’s College won the girls’ final, beating Deba Ray College 41-35.
As many as 13 boys’ teams and five girls’ teams participated in the league, which was organised by Khurda District Basketball Association (KDBA), under the aegis of Odisha Basketball Association (OBA).
