Aditya Patnaik emerged champion, scoring 8.5 points out of a possible nine in the OSCA Open All-Odisha Chess Tournament at Secretariat Recreation Club here on Sunday. Manas Singh and Natabara Das finished second and third respectively.
Altogether 124 players from 18 districts participated in the three-day tournament, which was organised by Orissa State Chess Association (OSCA) and carried a total prize fund of Rs 28,000, including Rs 6,000 for the champion.
Ajeet Engineering & Development Ltd MD Radha Madhab Jena gave away the prizes in the presence of OSCA secretary Smruti Ranjan Das.
