Odisha Sports Journalists Association (OSJA) today paid a humble tribute to eminent sports journalists Ashok Patnaik on the occasion of his 16th death anniversary here at Hotel Empires today.
In a simple meeting OSJA working president Sanatan Pani, vice-president Sanjib Biswal, secretary Suresh Swain, joint-secretary Sambit Mohapatra and senior member Surya Prasad Rath reminisced the vast knowledge, commitment and sincerity of Late Patnaik as a sports journalist, his humble and amiable personality and his contribution for the betterment of sports and sportspersons in the state.
The members resolved to draw inspiration from Late Patnaik`s personality and his work to carry forward the goal of sports promotion in the state. They also decided to revive the Ashok Patnaik Memorial Sports Award from next year.
OSJA members Debi Prasanna Mohanty, Samikshya Patnaik, Umakant Mishra, Debasish Sundaray, Tapan Swain, Bijay Rana, Manoranjan Das, Asit Satpathy, Sujit Swain, Bimal Kumar, Niranjan Reddy and Tanmay Das were present on the occasion.
