Juvenile Club (Cuttack) emerged champions in the 1st Khitindra Mohanty Memorial All-Odisha Under-15 Cricket Tournament, trouncing local club Paramount Sporting by 105 runs in the final at Saheed Sporting ground here today. Juvenile Club received a cash prize of Rs 25,000, while Paramount Sporting were given Rs 15,000.
Binit Mohanty of Juvenile pocketed Rs 2,500 as the player of the tournament. Saswat Mohanty, Sidharth Nayak and Ashutosh Behera (all Juvenile); Ranjit Mohanty (Paramount) and Uditansu Parida (Saheed Sporting) bagged the prizes as palyer of the final, tournament’s best batsman, best wicket-keeper, best bowler and best fielder respectively.
Hockey Olympian Dilip Tirkey handed over the trophy and prizes at the closing function. Eminent cricketer Rashmi Ranjan Parida and host Saheed Sporting Club secretary Pankaj Patnaik were present on the occasion.
The tournament, featuring eight club teams of twin city Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, was earlier inaugurated by former India woman football captain Sradhanjali Samantaray and Late Khitindra Mohanty’s wife Snehamayee Mohanty. Following are the results.

January 28 (QF No 3): Rameswar Sporting 121/10 in 29.1 overs (Subrat Mana 19, Surag Das 19; Rajesh Patra 3/17) lost to Rising Students 122/6 in 28.2 overs (Somen Chand 60 n.o, Mohan Sahoo 21; Subash Mallick, Rajesh Das each 2 wkts) by 4 wkts.
January 29 (QF No 4): Juvenile Club 197/9 in 35 overs (Siddharth Nayak 38, Binit Kumar Mohanty 36, Siddharth Jain 20; Anil Singh 3/20, Karan Uday Das 2/28, Asutos Sahoo 2/19) beat Oscar 131/10 in 23 overs (Arya Jena 34, Ankit Pradhan 25; Arpit Sharma 3/25, Binit Mohanty 3/25) by 66 runs.

January 31 (SF No 2): Rising Students 187/8 in 35 overs (Nikhil Barua 43, Sk Ashfaque 32 n.o, Ashutosh Acharya and Ranjit Mohanty 2 wkts each) lost to Paramount Sporting 190/8 in 34.5 overs (Farhat Khan 55, Sourav Gouda 50, Praveen Yash 2 wkts) by 2 wkts.
