Ravenshaw Collegiate School emerged champions in the B C Parida Memorial Cuttack District Inter-School Cricket Tournament, which concluded at Barabati Stadium here today. In the low-scoring final, Ravenshaw Collegiate thrashed Stewart School by seven wickets to take home the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 5,000.
Eminent industrialist Pankaj Lochan Mohanty handed over the trophy and other prizes in the presence of host Cuttack District Athletic Association secretary Asirbad Behera. Earlier in the semifinals, Stewart School crushed Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir by 83 runs, while Ravenshaw Collegiate trounced Municipal High School (Jobra) by eight wickets.

At Barabati Stadium: Municipal High School 87/10 in 24.5 overs (Ramachandra Rath 5/13, Amit Maharana 2/12, Sai Prasad Acharya 2/31) lost to Ravenshaw Collegiate School 89/2 in 18.4 overs (Puneet Banerjee 26) by 8 wkts.
At Ravenshaw University ground: Stewart School 165/9 in 30 overs (Saishyam Mohanty 57, Subhranshu Samal 32; Kesari Nandan Sahoo 3/8, Dipankar Sinha 3/48, Nitish Niranjan Samantaray 2/43) beat Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir 82/10 in 24.5 overs (Jyoti Prasad Sahoo 6/14, Saishyam Mohanty 2/5) by 83 runs.
FINAL:
Stewart School 85/10 in 27.4 overs (Biswajit Das 37; Ram Chandra Rath 3/18, Sai Prasad Acharya 3/25) lost to Ravenshaw Collegiate School 86/3 in 23.3 overs (Om Prakash Swain 26 n.o) by 7 wkts.
