Three players from Odisha have been included in the 18-member Indian junior hockey team for the six-nation 3rd Sultan Johar Cup Tournament to be played at Johar Bahru in Malaysia from September 22 to 29.
The three are goalkeeper Sushant Tirkey, defender Amit Rohidas and forward Amon Mirash Tirkey and they all belong to Rourkela-based Panposh Sports Hostel (PSH).
Two other players of the State government-run PSH Hostel _ Deepsan Tirkey and Stanli Minz _ have been named in the stand-by list. Altogether six teams will vie for the trophy in the Sultan Johar Cup. Other five teams are Argentina, England, Korea, Malaysia and Pakistan. Last year India had finished as runners-up.
