Local favourite Asif Haque clinched double by winning titles in men`s and youth boys` categories of the 21st YGTTA All-Odisha Open Table Tennis Tournament, which concluded at Sachin Tendulkar Indoor Hall, Barabati Stadium here today.
Asif, who emerged youth singles champion on the opening day, completed the double, outplaying his elder brother Tousif in the men`s singles final 4-1. Bhubaneswar siblings Samartha Prusty and her younger brother Krishan secured a family double, bagging the women`s singles and sub-junior boys` crowns respectively.
Bhagyashree Mohapatra (Khurda), Sripad Nayak (KIIT), Ankita Senapati (Bhubaneswar), Anjali Agarwal (Bhubaneswar), Bikash Singh (Rourkela Steel Plant) claimed the five other singles titles in cadet girls, cadet boys, sub-junior girls, junior girls and junior boys categories respectively. The lone doubles (junior boys) title went to the Cuttack pair of K Kartik and M Ishwar Rao.
The three-day tournament was organised by Young Generation Table Tennis Association, under the auspices of Odisha State Table Tennis Association. National Cricket Academy chairman Ranjib Biswal handed over the trophies in the presence of OSTTA secretary Rabindra Kumar Parida, YGTTA president GC Bose and secretary Nihar Ranjan Mishra.

Cadet girls:Bhagyashree Mohapatra (Khurda) bt Yoshita Jammula (Khurda) 3-0 (11-4, 11-2, 13-11).
Cadet boys’ singles: Sripad Nayak (KIIT) bt Sanchit Sahoo (KIIT) 3-1 (11-9, 11-5, 7-11, 11-4).
Sub-junior girls’ singles: Ankita Senapati (BBSR) bt Nikita Pattnaik (BBSR) 4-0 (11-8, 11-4, 12-10, 11-4).
Sub-junior boys’ singles: Krishan Prusty (BBSR) bt Janmenjay Moharana (RSP) 4-0 (11-6, 11-9, 11-5, 11-7).
Junior girls’ singles: Anjali Agarwal (BBSR) bt Ankita Senapati (BBSR) 4-1 (11-6, 11-5, 11-9, 9-11, 13-11).
Junior boys’ singles: Bikash Singh (RSP) bt Sarthak Mishra (BBSR) 4-0 (11-8, 11-7, 11-7, 15-13).
Youth boys’ singles: Asif Haque bt Saswat Samal (Khurda) 4-2 (9-11, 11-8, 11-8, 4-11, 11-6, 11-7).
Women`s singles: Samartha Prusty (BBSR) bt Poushali Ghatak (AG Odisha) 4-0 (11-7, 11-4, 11-4, 11-4).
Men`s singles: Asif Haque (Cuttack) bt Tousif Haque (ECo Rly) 4-1 (11-9, 11-5, 11-9, 7-11, 11-6).
Junior boys` doubles: K Kartik-M Ishwar Rao (Cuttack) bt Janmenjay Moharana-Bikash Singh (RSP) 3-2.
