Odisha school boy Rajesh Kumar Sahoo secured a bronze medal in 55kg weight category of the Sub-junior National Judo Championship at Imphal in Manipur today. According to Odisha State Judo Association secretary Gitanjali Panda, this is the second national medal for Rajesh, who had claimed a silver medal in the 40kg category of the sub-junior Nationals at Aluva in Kerala two years ago.
A standard-IX student of BJEM School here, Rajesh was the lone competitor to represent Odisha in the national championship. ``We could not send more judokas due to paucity of fund,`` said the OSJA secretary.
