Local favourites Yazadani Club-73 lifted the trophy in the 8th Srikrushna Biswal Memorial All-Odisha Football Tournament, thrashing Mangala Club (Cuttack) 3-1 in the final here at Indira Maidan, Nayapalli today. Kishore Khadia was instrumental in the thumping win, scoring a brace in the fifth and 33rd minutes. Antu Mumru netted the second goal in the 30th minute. Trailing 0-3 at the lemon break, Mangala Club scored the consolation goal through Bijay Das in the 59th minute.
The champion team received the top prize of Rs 15,000 and the runner-up outfit Rs 10,000. State Sports Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi presented the trophy at the closing function. Host Sports & Games Organisation president Kashinath Jena and secretary Bhagyadhar Jagadeb were present on the occasion.
Kishore Khadia and Kedarnath Singh (both Club-73) were adjudged the man of the final and man of the tournament respectively.
