Tata Steel`s Hockey Academy, which was initially proposed to come up in Jamshedpur, will now be set up in Bhubaneswar, H M Nerurkar, Managing Director of the company announced at Jamshedpur today. "We identified land in Bhubaneswar 10 days back for the academy, which will be set up on the line of premier football academy Tata Football Academy in Jamshedpur," Nerurkar told newsmen after paying floral tribute to the first Chairman of the company Sir Dorabji Tata on his 152nd birth anniversary here.
``We will work out everything in three months time and finalise the construction of the academy, which will have all facilities, including hostel," Nerurkar said. Sanjiv Paul, Tata Steel`s Vice-President (Corporate Affairs), said the academy will help in promoting the game. "We are waiting for formalities to complete by the Government of Orissa and the Union Government. Once it is complete, we will go all out to set up the academy."
