Bhubaneswar boy Sambit Panda made Orissa proud by winning the title in the open category of the National Under-7 Chess Championship, which concluded at Pune yesterday. He achieved the feat in dramatic style by posting win in the 11th and final round.
Among other Orissa boys, Soumein Rajdev and Baibhab Singh (both Cuttack) finished fifth and 10th respectively. In the girls` category, B Niranjana Aiswarya Dash (Cuttack) emerged Orissa`s best performer, finishing fourth.
