Orissa Amateur Body Builders Association (OABBA) today felicitated three bodybuilders of the state for winning medals in the 48th National Junior and Veteran Championships held at Nashik in Maharastra from February 4 to 6.
OABBA chief patron and Finance Minister Prafula Chandra Ghadai presented mememtos to the medallists in a function at his residence in Bhubaneswar. OABBA general secretary Prasanna Mahasuara and coach Babuli Swain were present on the occasion.
According to Mahasuara, Pankaj Lochan Pratihari of Puri bagged a gold in 70 kg junior category. He also bagged the Junior Mr India crown by emerging champion of champions. Arjun Singh (Mayurbhanja) secured a silver in junior 55 kg class, while Ashok Mohapatra (Puri) claimed a bronze in veteran category. Altogether 15 bodybuilders represented in the three-day championship.
