Agony follows ecstacy for Asian mdallist Jena

Veteran Orissa bodybuilder Kartikeswar Jena won a bronze medal in the Asian Bodybuilding Championship held at Bangkok earlier on August 16. According to information received here today, Jena achieved the success in the 75kg master category. But the joy of winning an international medal for the first time turned into heartbreak as he was robbed of his belongings while returning home from Kolkata by Coromondel Express. He became unconscious after taking bottle of doped soft drink offered by group of youths. The group then took away all his assets including the medal. When report last came in, police came to Jena`s rescue and took him back to Kolkata. Search was on to recover the belongings.
