Sports Hostel, Cuttack, beat local outfit Kishore Club 1-0 in the controversial first semifinal of the 12th Tata Utkalika Cup Floodlit Football Tournament at the Unit-6 High School ground in Bhubaneswar today.
Sports Hostel were awarded the match after Kishore Club walked out of the field, protesting against the decision of the referee, who disallowed a goal against the hostel side. Earlier Tatun Das gave Sports Hostel the lead in the third minute.
