Orissa Woman International Masters Padmini Rout and Kiran Manisha Mohanty experienced mixed luck in the eighth round of the Leiden International Open Chess Tournament at Leiden in Holland yesterday.
Asian junior champion Padmini beat Adinda Serdijn (Holland) to increase her tally to four points, while former Women National ‘B’ champion Kiran (3.5) settled for a draw against Marco
Kirana (Holland).
In the ninth and final round, Padmini meets Nicky Law (Holland), while Kiran faces Julian Van Overdam, also of Holland.
