A nine-member Indian squad was named today by Indian Association of Kickboxing Organisations (IAKO) for participation in the 3rd Asian Indoor Games to be held at Hanoi in Vietnam from October 30 to November 8.
The squad was selected from a two-day National trial camp, held at Unit-1 Indoor Hall in Bhubaneswar on July 4 and 5. Around 100 kickboxers from across the country took part in the camp, which was hosted by All Orissa Kickboxing Association.
Indian squad:
Low kick: Men: Manoj Kumar (Delhi), Mohammad Amir Khan (Maharashtra), S Lemra Meiti (Manipur), Rajesh Dalal (Haryana). Woman: Ritika Singh (Maharashtra).
Semi-contact: Men: Pankaj Kumar Mahanta (Orissa), Sanjay Katode (Maharashtra). Women: Ratnadiptee Shimpi, Sana Shaikh (both Maharashtra).
