GVS Prasad`s five-wicket haul enabled Andhra crush Jharkhand by 102 runs on the last day of their two-day group league match of the 1st All-India Basant Biswal Memorial Cricket Tournament at Ravenshaw University ground in Cuttack today.
Chasing a daunting target of 323 in 90 overs, Jharkhand were dismissed for 220 in 76 overs. The win fetched Andhra three points, which included one bonus point. Prasad was adjudged the man of the match.
In another group league match at Barabati Stadium, Tripura got the better of Assam by three wickets. Resuming at the overnight score of 90 for four, Tripura lost three more wickets before overhauling a modest target of 133 in 57.3 overs. Tripura also secured three points for the win.
