PCB bans Yousuf for rejoining ICL

Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf was today banned from playing for the country after he announced his re-alignment with the rebel Indian Cricket League in New Delhi. The Pakistan Cricket Board not only banned Yousuf but also decided to demand money they claim to have spent on his legal fight with the ICL. ``Our policy is clear since the ICL is not recognised by the International Cricket Council and its member boards. We also do not recognise it or allow any player to take part in it,`` Zakir Khan, the PCB Director, Cricket Operations, said. Yousuf, 34, who has played in 79 Tests and 269 ODIs, was taken to a arbitrator by the ICL last year when he first signed a contract with them and then backed out of it.
